Spring Equestrium

Saturday April 13th, 2019 to Sunday April 14th, 2019
Pebble Beach, California

Come to the seaside and enjoy vigorous rides, scenic rides, and a time of medieval mounted immersion!

Spring Equestrium will be a two day event on the Monterey Bay Coast at
the Pebble Beach Equestrian Center, home of the beautiful 17 Mile Drive.

There will be a scouting quest for those using the Estate’s horses. The manor’s
cartographers are updating the estate map and need riders to use their mobile illuminators
to document the locations of many things on the grounds. Once obtained, these updates
will be communicated via carrier pigeon app to the Book of Faces for review.

Concurrently, there will be a hunting quest for those who provide their own mounts.
These riders will collect trophies from various types of game and fowl on the great estate.
You or someone in your party will need to carry a sword with you (as all good protectors
of the realm should) to hunt effectively.

Please note: you must be authorized to ride before participating in the scouting hunt on
the estate’s horses (rental horses). Riders bringing their own mounts: to ride the hunt,
you must be authorized for weapon’s handling.

After the quests, we will have a time of instruction and some frivolity. Please bring your
own lunch items and water/drink to partake during this time.

Rental horses are available on site: $150/Saturday ~ 3 mile ride and $115/Sunday beach
ride. These fees are paid directly to the site manager. You may ride either or both days.
We are allowed to use simple saddle blanket/breast collar barding so be sure to bring
yours or check with others to borrow something if necessary (no sheet or strap barding
per the rental string coordinator). Remember this area is very breezy and April will still
be cool so dress accordingly. Long trappings/veils will be a hindrance to your experience.

**Please contact me directly BEFORE March 30 th to reserve your mount.**

Horse owners: haul-in fee is $25/trailer for the weekend, payable directly to site
manager. There are a very limited number of stalls for overnighting. However, if you
have your own panels or electric fencing, you are able to stable off of your trailer at no
additional charge other than the haul-in fee. We are able to sleep in trailer living quarters
but no cooking etc. so dinner and such will need to be procured off site. Stalls, if
available, are $75/horse which includes bedding as well as feed (if you like) and the haul-
in fee will be waived. This fee is paid directly to the site manager.

There is no event registration fee due to the costs per individual associated with this
event.
